As a Sister On The Planet with Oxfam America, Beth Ellen had the opportunity to go to Washington, DC to join the Sisters to celebrate the “Our Champions of Equality” in an award ceremony honoring:

o Former Portland City Commissioner, Hon. Jo Ann Hardesty (Sisters on the Planet Ambassador)
o US Congresswoman (MN), Hon. Ilhan Omar (Sisters on the Planet Ambassador)
As part of our advocacy work, Sisters On The Planet met with key figures in the Biden Administration to advocate for moving away from fossil fuels and extractive economies and to prioritize women and girls as named in the ‘National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality’.
